HALL OF HONOR NOMINATIONS
The Alabama State Conference NAACP Hall of Honor recognizes NAACP members in good standing whose lifelong work and commitment have significantly advanced the mission of the NAACP and uplifted communities across Alabama.
Nominees are individuals who have demonstrated consistent service, civic involvement, and a spirit of leadership that has positively impacted their local branches, counties, and the state at large. Honorees may be living or deceased and must reflect the values and vision of the NAACP through their work in:
- Civic and community engagement
- Charitable and faith-based service
- Advocacy for the underserved
- Support for social justice and civil rights
- Dedication to NAACP goals at the local or state level
Selection Criteria
Nominees are evaluated based on:
- Understanding and commitment to the NAACP mission (35 pts)
- Support of charitable or civic organizations (20 pts)
- Leadership or participation in branch or community efforts (20 pts)
- Impact of their community work on civil rights or NAACP objectives (15 pts)
- Initiative to improve organizational

Awarded to a community organization that has significantly partnered with and supported the NAACP. !
ATTORNEY OF THE YEAR
Awarded to an attorney who volunteered time and efforts to support the NAACP and civil rights in Alabama.
MINORITY OWNED BUSINESS OF THE YEAR
Awarded to a minority-owned business that has made a significant community impact.
BRANCH OF THE YEAR
Awarded to an NAACP Branch that models excellence in

Awarded to a Branch President demonstrating strong leadership in advancing civil rights.
