The 61st Annual Bridge Crossing Weekend is more than a celebration — it is a call to action.
Under the theme “A Time for Standing,” the NAACP Alabama State Conference invites supporters, leaders, and community partners to gather in Montgomery to honor our legacy, reflect on our present moment, and recommit ourselves to the work ahead. This weekend marks a time to stand for justice, equity, democracy, and the continued advancement of civil rights in Alabama and across our nation.
Throughout the weekend, we will commemorate the courage of those who crossed the Edmund Pettus Bridge, celebrate the progress made through collective action, and recognize the individuals and organizations who continue to carry the movement forward. From fellowship and reflection to inspiration and celebration, each event is designed to strengthen our resolve and renew our commitment.
Now, more than ever, this is a time for standing — standing in unity, standing in purpose, and standing for the future we are building together.
