2024 ALABAMA NAACP LABOR AND INDUSTRY ESSAY WRITING CONTEST
The State of Alabama NAACP Labor and Industry Committee is pleased to present the Walter Reuther Essay Writing and Scholarship Contest for high school students.
Each year, as part of the Alabama NAACP State Convention and in recognition of Mr. Walter Reuther, the Labor and Industry Committee provides students with a monetary scholarship based on a written essay addressing the impact of labor unions.
The 2024 Walter Reuther Essay topic is "Labor Unions: Shaping Today's Workforce.
This year's event will be held at the Holiday Inn Research Park in Huntsville, Alabama. Our Walter Reuther Scholarships, Labor Roundtable event, Worker and Human Rights Breakfast are the highlights of the weekend.
